The city sponsors a variety of community events throughout the year to bring residents together and provide a sense of community for Livermore families. Students in Livermore attend quality schools in the Livermore Valley Unified School District. The District operates nine elementary campuses, two K-8 schools, three middle schools, two comprehensive high schools and two alternative schools. Programs include International Baccalaureate, Green Engineering Academy, Dual Immersion and STEM pathways. Las Positas Community College offers two-year degrees, along with classes and specialized training programs for adults and children.
